You can choose to delete an entire Answer in one go (i.e. delete all the Answer types within the one Answer), or just delete individual Answer types.
Delete an individual Answer Type #
- Click the menu located on the top left corner of the screen.
- From the list of options, select Answers to be taken to the Answers page, where you’ll see a list of all your Answers in Gladly.
- Scroll through the list and select the Answer you wish to edit. You can also narrow down the results by typing a search term into the filter at the top left of the screen or using the Language and Channel filters.
- From the Answer edit page, scroll to the Answer type you want to delete.
- Click on the trash icon on the top right corner of the Answer Type.
- A prompt will appear, asking you if you’re sure you want to delete the response. If you are, select ‘Yes, Delete’. If not, hit ‘Cancel’. If an Answer has multiple languages, once you’ve deleted all the types for a single language and Save the Answer, the language will move from the “View” to “Add” section of the “View Answer In” dropdown.
Delete an entire Answer series with multiple Answer Types #
- Click on the Menu located on the top left corner of your screen.
- From the list of options, select Answers to be taken to the Answers page, where you’ll see a list of all your Answers in Gladly.
- Scroll through the list to find the Answer you wish to edit. You can also narrow down the results by typing a search term into the filter at the top left of the screen or using the Language and Channel filters.
- Hover over the Answer you want to delete. You should see a trash can icon appear on the right of the Answer. Click it.
- A prompt will appear, asking you if you’re sure you want to permanently remove the answer. If you are, select ‘Remove’. If not, hit ‘Cancel’.
Note – Deleting an Answer that’s currently used
f you are deleting a Public Answer that is being used in the Help Center, you will get an error message that shows where the Public Answer is being used.
