How to be a Good Mentor is an ideal course for anyone wanting to develop their mentoring skills. A mentor, usually a person with more experience, provides an opportunity for a person with less experience to gain an understanding of the best ways to develop or improve necessary skills and participate successfully in the workplace.
In this course, you will learn that key elements of good mentoring from psychologist and experienced mentor, Eve Ash. A good mentor is someone who is motivated, energized, and willing to commit time to the role. They build trust, are discreet and respect confidentiality. Mentees must take responsibility for their own learning and development, and for getting the most out of the mentoring sessions. However, throughout the process, good mentors continue to provide guidance, motivation, emotional support, and role modeling for the mentee.
